After graduating from the University of Kentucky in 1972 with a degree in biology, Dr. Karl Clinard earned his D.M.D. from the University of Louisville in 1978 and completed his orthodontic residency there two years later.

In practice for 26 years, Dr. Clinard stays abreast of the latest technological advances in orthodontics with memberships in the following professional organizations: American Dental Association, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Kentucky Association of

Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists and Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society.

A retired deputy sheriff of 23 years, Dr. Clinard enjoys hunting all over North America, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and Africa. He also donates his time to Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation and the American Cancer Society.
